Essaouira, Mogador
A coastal town on the Atlantic seaboard, known for its historic charm and its artistic atmosphere. Its medina is a UNESCO World Heritage site: well-preserved ramparts, winding lanes, busy souks and Portuguese architecture. People come for the festivals too, Gnaoua and World Music and the Atlantic Andalusias, and for the craftsmanship of the souks: thuya wood, Berber rugs, leather.
Fifteen minutes from the lodge
The famous Essaouira beach is fifteen minutes from the guest house. Golden sand, clear water, an easy-going atmosphere: come to unwind to the sound of the waves, walk the shoreline, or try the watersports that made the bay’s name.
The nature of Ida Ougourd
The lodge sits in open countryside, surrounded by greenery. The rural panorama runs as far as the eye can see, and the setting, well back from the road, keeps the silence. It is the place for anyone wanting to get away from the bustle of the city.

How do I book a stay?
Bookings are handled directly on WhatsApp. Tap the “Book now” button: the chat opens with a pre-filled message, just add your dates.
What are the check-in times?
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out until 12:00. If your flight has you arriving earlier or leaving later, let us know on WhatsApp: we accommodate it when we can.
How do I get to the lodge?
The lodge is about fifteen minutes’ drive from Essaouira, and about ten minutes from Essaouira-Mogador airport. Parking on site is free. We can arrange your airport transfer: just ask on WhatsApp before you travel.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed at the lodge.
